Meet Ricky Rue.
Ricky Rue is a Chicago native who started rhyming a year ago. His stage name started with Citysurb ending with Ricky Rue “for now.” Knowing Rue from a personal/business perspective doesn’t make a difference because he’s still the average joe. Ricky Rue wants to be known as a Trap/Drill artist in Chicago with nothing but “Turn Up” music. Question is, how are do you rap about turning up without living the “turn up” lifestyle? Does that make Ricky Rue a facade? Releasing his very first project entitled “Halfway Living“ was more like an introduction. Some of Rue’s influences are King Louie and Waka Flocka Flame. Rue has worked with Chicago artists like Sasha Go Hard, I.L. Will, D-Konn, and myself. He continues to build on his craft by booking more studio time, directing his videos, and working with many other artists. One is his goals are collaborating with Chicago’s own King Louie. Rue is also a party promoter and he’s very good at persuading someone to do something. Could be good or bad. What do you think of Ricky Rue?
